Built Around One Customer’s Process
For a customer in the Netherlands, we fully refurbished this Kronen GEWA 4000 washer and tailored it to their specific requirements and application. Instead of asking the customer to adapt their process to a standard machine, we started from how the washer would actually be used on their line and worked back from there.
The GEWA 4000 came into our workshop as a well-used production machine. It left as a reliable, high-quality washer, ready for many more years of intensive use.
A Complete Technical Overhaul
The machine was taken apart and worked through from top to bottom. Every key component was inspected, assessed and then restored, renewed or replaced:
- Full technical inspection. All main mechanical and electrical components were checked and judged on their actual working condition rather than their age.
- Mechanical restoration. The frame, tank and moving assemblies were stripped, cleaned and rebuilt.
- Component renewal. Worn and outdated parts were replaced with new components, while parts that were still sound were professionally reconditioned.
- Drive and conveyor. The drive assembly and discharge conveyor were overhauled, refitted and reset.
- Seals, pipework and fittings. Renewed where required to restore a clean, tight and hygienic finish.
- Reassembly and testing. The washer was rebuilt, aligned and thoroughly tested before it left our workshop.
Combining professionally refurbished parts with brand-new ones is a deliberate choice. It puts new components exactly where they add the most value, while sound original parts are restored to full working order. That balance is what delivers reliability, quality and a long service life without unnecessary cost.
